Evaluation of a new CT/NG/TV/MG Real-Time PCR Kit (Vircell) versus the Allplex STI Essential Assay (Seegene) for the diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections

Este estudio evaluó el kit CT/NG/TV/MG Real-Time PCR de Vircell para la detección de cuatro patógenos principales asociados a infecciones de transmisión sexual en distintos tipos de muestras anatómicas. El ensayo mostró un alto rendimiento diagnóstico frente a Allplex STI Essential Assay, con una sensibilidad global del 99,53%, una especificidad del 99,84% y una excelente concordancia. Estos resultados respaldan su uso como opción molecular fiable para el diagnóstico rutinario de ITS en laboratorios clínicos.

VirClia® Measles y Varicella-Zoster IgG monotest se evaluaron para la determinación del índice de anticuerpos en muestras pareadas de LCR y suero. Los ensayos CLIA automatizados mostraron una elevada concordancia con métodos ELISA establecidos y un alto rendimiento diagnóstico para IgG frente a sarampión y VZV. Estos resultados destacan el potencial de la tecnología VirClia® como apoyo en la investigación de laboratorio de trastornos neurológicos infecciosos.

El diagnóstico del virus del Nilo Occidental se basa principalmente en la detección serológica, especialmente cuando la fase virémica ya ha finalizado. En este estudio comparativo, WNV VIRCLIA® IgM e IgG monotest mostraron una elevada concordancia con métodos ELISA establecidos y un alto rendimiento diagnóstico en muestras de suero. Su formato monotest automatizado ofrece una solución CLIA práctica para apoyar el diagnóstico del virus del Nilo Occidental en el flujo de trabajo rutinario del laboratorio.
