FEATURES

Magnetic bead-based extraction

MagXtract® 3200 uses magnetic bead-based technology for automated DNA and RNA purification from clinical specimens. The system is designed to standardize a critical step in molecular diagnostics and prepare nucleic acids suitable for downstream PCR/qPCR applications.

Extraction and PCR setup in one workflow

The system automates both nucleic acid extraction and PCR setup, reducing manual handling and operator-dependent variability. It can work with VIRPLEX SE001 and SE002 extraction formats and different VIRPLEX kit presentations.

Complete traceability with VIRCOM integration

MagXtract® 3200 links sample, extraction format, PCR assay, and downstream result. Integrated with VIRCOM PCR, the workflow can connect sample setup, templates, result analysis, and LIS export, supporting complete traceability from clinical specimen to final result.

Flexible processing for VIRPLEX kits

MagXtract® 3200 processes 1 to 32 samples per run and supports the organization of different VIRPLEX kits within molecular workflows. This flexibility is particularly useful when the same specimen requires several complementary assays, such as STI, gastrointestinal, or zoonotic/vector-borne testing strategies.

WHY MAGXTRACT® 3200?

  • Designed for the VIRPLEX ecosystem

    Designed for the VIRPLEX ecosystem

MagXtract® 3200 does more than automate extraction: it is part of an integrated molecular workflow with real-time PCR and VIRCOM PCR. This connection links sample preparation, run setup, result analysis, and LIS communication.
This supports a modular, scalable, and traceable molecular diagnostic workflow.

  • One sample, multiple answers

    One sample, multiple answers

The system supports the preparation of different VIRPLEX assays from the same specimen when required by the diagnostic workflow. This enables complementary panels, such as STI, Gastro, or Zoonosis, while maintaining process traceability.

  • Less handling, more standardization

    Less handling, more standardization

Automated extraction and PCR setup reduce manual steps, minimize pipetting errors, and improve run-to-run reproducibility. MagXtract supports multiple primary tube formats, providing flexibility for laboratories working with different tube sizes and sample input volumes.
