Product information

VIRCOM PCR is a middleware software programme designed to centralise the management of VIRPLEX molecular assays, from assay configuration through to the interpretation, validation and reporting of results. Its integration with real-time PCR instruments, automated systems such as the MagXtract® 3200, and the laboratory’s LIS enables the creation of a more traceable, efficient and standardised workflow.

VIRCOM PCR facilitates the creation of templates, the visualisation of amplification curves and Ct values, the automatic interpretation of results and the generation of reports, thereby reducing the need for manual intervention and supporting more secure data management.

Vircom PCR software

Why choose Vircom PCR?

  • One consolidated software for VIRPLEX

    One consolidated software for VIRPLEX

VIRCOM PCR centralizes the analysis of different VIRPLEX molecular assays within a single platform, allowing multiple kits to be managed under a unified PCR protocol. This integration simplifies laboratory management, reduces the need for separate tools, and supports a more consistent workflow for multiplex assays.

  • Complete process traceability

    Complete process traceability

VIRCOM PCR supports traceability from run setup through result validation and export. Scanner-based data entry, sample assignment, worklists, template creation with predefined controls, and automatic inclusion of batch and expiry information help reduce manual errors and document each step of the molecular workflow.

  • Automated results

    Automated results

VIRCOM PCR automatically processes data generated by compatible real-time PCR instruments, displaying amplification curves, Ct values, qualitative and quantitative results, internal controls and plate setup. This visualization supports technical review, result validation, and rapid identification of run-related issues.

  • Combine different kits in a single run

Combine different kits in a single run

VIRCOM PCR allows different VIRPLEX kits to be combined in the same run while maintaining a common PCR protocol and automated result interpretation. This flexibility helps adapt the workflow to real laboratory needs, optimizing the use of plates, reagents, and instruments in syndromic testing or low-sample-volume scenarios.
