Product features
Designed for the detection of specific antibodies against mycelial-phase antigens, using prior adsorption of samples with C. albicans yeasts to remove antibodies commonly present in colonized patients. This approach allows the detection of anti-mycelial antibodies associated with invasive candidiasis, helping to discriminate between true infection and colonization, while providing value for both early diagnosis and patient follow-up.
Useful for monitoring the course of infection and the response to antifungal treatment.
Results in 2 hours with a simple protocol that is easy to implement in any clinical microbiology laboratory.
Widely recognized in the scientific literature as CAGTA (Candida albicans germ tube antibody).
